THE BABEL COMMUNITY MARSEILLE VIEUX-PORT

Building on the success of its first residence in Marseille, located on Rue de la République, THE BABEL COMMUNITY is opening its second Marseille residence in June 2021 in one of the city’s most iconic buildings: the former Galeries Lafayette on Rue Saint-Ferréol! This 1927 building, a classic example of Art Deco architecture, is being transformed into a hybrid space spanning nearly 8,500 square meters where residents can live, work, exercise, party, and, above all, connect with one another.

Here, everything is designed to ensure that its occupants thrive: turnkey from turnkey coliving apartments to flexible Coworking workspaces. But there are also numerous common areas designed for relaxation and spending time together: a rooftop restaurant (what a view!!), a fitness center, a gym, meeting rooms with private terraces… All within a broader ecosystem of services (housekeeping, dry cleaning, concierge, etc.) to make life easier and free up time for what really matters! Events are organized every day to encourage meetings between colivers, coworkers and local residents!

OLD PORT DISTRICT

In Marseille, the city center revolves around the Old Port! Ideally situated between the Old Port and the Prefecture, the residence is located in the heart of the city’s liveliest and most iconic neighborhood. This is where people gather to have lunch on a terrace, go shopping, take the shuttle to the Frioul Islands and Château d’If, or simply stroll around. From the shops on Rue Paradis to the restaurants on Quai de Rive-Neuve, not to mention the Old Port market every Sunday, you’ll find plenty of shops within a 100-meter radius of the residence. On the cultural side, the neighborhood offers easy access to the Mucem, La Major Cathedral, and the Vieille Charité, allowing you to explore Marseille’s heritage.
