Located on the residence’s rooftop terrace, CIEL is a restaurant serving comforting, seasonal regional cuisine. The experience is as much about the breathtaking views of the Chartreuse Mountains and the city’s rooftops as it is about our traditional French dishes, reimagined with flavors from around the world.

It’s also the perfect bar to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city… Whether you’re admiring the mountains over lunch on the terrace, sipping a drink while watching the famous “Bulles” cable cars come and go, or simply enjoying the sunset, Ciel Rooftop Grenoble welcomes you Monday through Sunday.

In the morning, enjoy our homemade breakfast buffet… In the afternoon, whether you’re looking for a pre-dinner drink or a tasty snack, we welcome you starting at 3 p.m.! For lunch and dinner, we serve authentic, seasonal cuisine. Our dishes are prepared fresh daily. made with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients by our incredible kitchen team.

An exceptional experience. This restaurant offers much more than just a meal: it provides a truly immersive experience with a breathtaking panoramic view of Grenoble and its surroundings. The setting is elegant, the atmosphere is soothing, and every detail has been carefully considered. As for the cuisine, the dishes are refined and perfectly executed.

We came primarily for the exceptional view of Grenoble and the surrounding mountain ranges, and we were delighted by the attentive staff and the succulent, original dishes concocted by the chef. Everything was delicious and beautiful. Perfect! I highly recommend it.

Stunning views, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent cuisine. The prices are very reasonable given the quality of the experience. A free shuttle runs between the riverbanks and the restaurant.

A great place to eat. The food, the service, the setting—everything is excellent. My favorites were the leek salad as a starter and the veal tenderloin, which was incredible. The setting is beautiful, and the terrace is spacious. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor.

After a lovely hike to the Bastille, this spot let us continue to enjoy the beautiful view of Grenoble and its mountains! As for the food, the platter was more than enough for two, and the price was very reasonable. The dishes were also generous and excellent. Thank you also for the warm welcome, which makes all the difference between a good restaurant and a great one.

Right in Grenoble city center, the Résidence is located below the Fort de la Bastille, offering breathtaking views over the entire valley. A veritable nature park in the heart of the city, La Bastille is the city’s green lung: Grenoble’s residents come here to take in the views, walk or jog in a thousand-year-old forest. Less than 5 minutes’ walk from the residence takes you to the banks of the Isère and its many bars and restaurants. Cross the Saint-Laurent footbridge and you’re in the heart of the city. Here you can visit the Grenoble Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral or simply stroll through the lively pedestrian streets of the historic center. On the way back, either on foot or by taking the legendary Grenoble cable car Grenoble’s legendary cable car, enjoy the open-air nature park that is La Bastille hill. On your way, don’t miss a visit (below the residence) to the Musée Dauphinois!
