LOCATED A STONE’S THROW FROM THE OLD PORT & LA JOLIETTE DISTRICT IN MARSEILLE, DISCOVER OUR TWO COLIVING & COWORKING RESIDENCES
It is in downtown Marseille, between the Old Port and La Joliette districts, that the first residence The Babel Community Marseille was created in September 2017. A place where you can live, work, play sports, party and, above all, meet people.
Here, everything is designed for the development of its occupants: from turnkey flats in Coliving to flexible work spaces in Coworking. But there are also many common spaces designed to relax and share moments together: a friendly restaurant, a sports hall, meeting rooms, a film club, terraces to share… All within a wider ecosystem of services (cleaning, dry-cleaning, concierge services, etc.) to make life easier and save time for what really matters!
Events are organised every day to encourage meetings between colivers, coworkers and local residents! Together they coexist and form a vibrant community: The Babel Community.

Following the success of its first coliving residence in Marseille, located on rue de la République, THE BABEL COMMUNITY is opening its second residence in Marseille in June 2021 in an emblematic building of the city: the former Galeries Lafayette on rue Saint-Ferréol! After 3 years of construction, this 1927 building, typical of Art Deco architecture, is being reinvented as a hybrid place of nearly 8,500m² where people can live, work, play sports, party and, above all, meet.
Here, everything is designed for the development of its occupants: from turnkey flats in Coliving to flexible work spaces in Coworking. But also many common spaces designed to relax and share moments together: 2 restaurants including one on the rooftop (what a view!!), a sports halla gymnasium, a meeting rooms with private terraces… All in a wider ecosystem of services (cleaning, dry cleaning, concierge, etc.) to make life easier and keep time for what really matters! Events are organised every day to encourage meetings between colivers, coworkers and local residents!

The street of republic is an emblematic axis of the city of Marseille. It connects the Old Port and its numerous places of exit to the business district of La Joliette. The rue de la république has many shops, a Monoprix just opposite and is close to the shopping centres Les Terrasses du Port and Les Docks. Climb a few steps and you find yourself in the picturesque Panier district.

In Marseille, the city centre is the VIEUX-PORT! It is here that we meet to have lunch on the terrace, to go shopping, to take the shuttle to reach the FRIOUL islands and the Château d’If or simply to stroll. Located halfway between the Old Port and the Prefecture, the residence is ideally situated in the heart of the city’s most lively district.

Free electric shuttle service
We provide our customers with a free electric shuttle that picks you up on request at the docks and drops you off in less than 3 minutes in front of our residence.
Opening hours:
– Monday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
– Tuesday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
– Saturday from 12pm to 3pm & from 7pm to 10:30pm
– Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m.
Electric bike rental in Grenoble
The GRENOBLE metropolitan area offers bicycles for hire by the day or by the month (maximum 4 months).
Monthly rates (including maintenance): from €27 (€15 for under-25s) for a classic electric bike to €40 (€22/month for under-25s). We strongly recommend the VAE Montagne model.
Book your bike before you arrive and collect it directly from Grenoble station (open 7/7).
